Before any money changes hands, shrinkwrapped or not, you better open the box on the spot and make sure you didn't just buy your local '04 and '05 yellow pages for Xmas.

I'd just wait at this point. You will be able to get one for $600.

Don't perpetuate the scalping mentality. A lot of people thought they were going to be rich by buying PS3s. Let him sit on it and gradually make less and less on it. Maybe next time he will think twice about spending so much time trying to secure something to scalp it.

i doubt it. most of the people who were willing to pay the high prices and wanted them probably already got them.

Hell. No. Unless you're trying to resell it for more...

There are so many reasons why you shouldn't touch a PS3 right now (if you want to own one).

Reason #1 - Too pricy.
Reason #2 - Launch games are all remakes... wait for 2007 at least.
Reason #3 - Glitches on the hardware and software side. Let some of these issues get worked out b4 you buy. You might dodge some major problems.

Wait until summer or late 2007 to get a PS3. We'll be seeing (hopefully) price drops, hardware revisions, better selection of games.

Well if you buy it for $850 and then try to scalp the price for more, you're probably not going to make much and than you'll just be a loser like the guy you're buying it from.

If you buy it for $850 and open it up, play it, and then try to sell it....you won't get your $850.

If you buy it for $850 just to own it and play it, you need help. You're stupid.

Definitely. If you're buying it because you sincerely want to play it and don't want to deal with the hassle of trying to find a "cheap" one on ebay, then go for it.

On a side note, is he selling you a 20 gb or the 60 gb version?

No... wait. Either this guy is trying to make a quick buck by selling an overpriced phone book or just tryed some of the games and didnt like how they played.

find someone who is interested for buying for at least $950 first...if you find a couple of people then buy it and sell it
