PS2 still worth getting?

Just wondering if there is any life left in the PS2 in terms of upcoming games. I had a GC and XBox and sold them both because I couldn't really find many games I liked...Zelda for GC, GTA double pack and NBA Street 2 for XBox, and that's about it. I'm not really into the modding thing. Opinions?

yes

FF12
ratchet and clank 3 and 2 if you havent plaied it
Jak and daxtar 2,3
Psi-ops
kill zone
GT 4

me personally, I plan to wait until the price drops below $100, plus by then you could pick up the games you want for cheap (like greatest hits versions)

The advantage of the PS2 is the sheer # of games available. Look at the titles to see if there is anything that interests you. I bought a PS2 and played FFX and Xenosaga, two incredible RPG's. Then I got bored and sold them.

also as psycho andy said- DVDs WITHOUT A REMOTE!!!!!!!, the new ones output in progressive scan for HDTVs, you really need to add 30$ to the price of the xbox for that stupid DVD remote

I'd still say the ps2 is a good buy, but the ps2 is nearly worthless as a good DVD player. Xbox has much better playback quality. Kingdom Hearts is not a bad RPG either, may seem childish at first glance but it is actually a very well designed game (although it is kinda retarded in some areas). I do wish the Xbox would get some better games, ps2 definetally still has control of all the good games released.
