PS2 slim hacks?

I know the topic of the thread is questionable (and a bit late too) in this thread . . . so flame on if you must.

Anyhow, I'm sitting at home - and I've been thinking - I've got a PS2, a Wii and an Xbox360 sitting in the media center right now, plus my laptop which has ~50 games installed in steam alone - suffice to say, I like to play videogames.

And of my game collection, I know that I have the most games for my PS2 save perhaps my PC - that was the system I had when I had my first career-type job, so naturally, I've collected some games over the time; which means it's piled atop one another and makes it a PITA to get some games (if it's stacked in the back or in the back row; yes I double-stacked the games) . . ..

So looking through my steam list, I had a thought is there a mod/hack available that would let me rip my games into a HDD and let me play them on my slimline PS2? I'm not exactly comfortable w/ a straight up PC emulator as I like using the PS2 controller, I haven't seen a convincing PS2 emulator out yet and hell, I own the system/games, so why not at least put the system into good use?

I know some of you may not believe me when i say I'm not interested in pirating PS2 games, but I need to know!

EDIT: Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeit, the DVD drive decided to crap out on the PS 2 right after I posted this. ^&*@!

Sure. Use the USB version of HDLoader.

However, ePSXE and PCSX2 are pretty good these days, so you really might consider finding a good DS2 to USB adapter...

It looks like it's coming along nicely, but still there are some games that I have - Like Armored Core: Last Raven - that's not quite supported by it; I'm hoping to consolidate all the game systems/boxes in the media center so I don't have to switch around so much!

Well, now that my ps2 is dead, I'm at a loss as to what to do . . ..

Which of the two PS2 emulators is compatible with the most software out there? Which has the best performance?

There are dualshock 3 drivers for windows. You could get a dualshock 3 then play that with pcsx2. I use my PS3's dualshock 3 for epsxe ps1 games, and even the rumble works but bluetooth does not -- it has to be plugged in through USB.
