PS2 prob - dvd password required??

ok, i bought a ps2 from a forummer here a few months ago for my brother
a few weeks ago he asks me what the password or code or whatever is to play a dvd on it (he was prompted for a passcode or some such when trying to play a dvd)

anyone know anything about this? the guy i bought it from hasnt been on AT forums since just after xmas, and ive emailed but got no response so i dunno what happened, can anyone tell me anything about this feature on the ps2 before i start scouring ps2 related boards elsewhere?

its a parental lock for content. have you tried putting in any combinations? i think there is a default password, but im not sure what it is. other ps2 forms may be more helpful. sorry, wish i could help you more.

You just push SELECT and...hold on a minute...

Look in the manual for the ps2 ifyou have it or look on google there should be a default password that you have to input then you have the option to change it.
