PS2 Prices.

I've decided to buy a PS2. Do you guys think its worth waiting till black friday or will prices be pretty stable?

I wasnt sure about filling the hot deals thread up with this type of post so Im asking here.

I've notice that a lot of places like circuit city/best buy are including games with the 179.99 price just like Nintendo did before the price drop to 99.99. So its seems likely hood it will drop to 149.99 before December. Black Sunday will probably have freebies with the PS2 console.

i dont know, i heard something about it going to $99. true? anyone work anywhere where they can give us some insight?

not yet. Christmas is coming and they proly wont drop it below $150 cause they know people will pay that that to buy there little kids a system

I read that Sony and Microsoft decided to bundle games at $179 *instead* of dropping prices. It's apparently driving the retailers nuts because it doesn't really help sales. Although if Gamecube sales take off this holiday season due to their price cuts, you might see them both drop to $150. But I seriously doubt it, since we know Microsoft was losing money on each one even at prices higher than $200, and Sony's profit margins still can't be great at $179.
