Repost from Hardware, not sure where problem is.

Trying to troubleshoot my daughter's computer from 400 miles away.

W2K Pro OS
Has wireless mouse/keyboard. She installed both Yahoo & MSN IM programs. Since, no mouse or KB.

Changed batteries, tried resetting channels per instructions, checked connections, tried different wired PS2 mouse & KB, rebooted several times, checked device manager, no mouse or KB.

Had her put in USB mouse, that works but no KB.

Will resetting CMOS help?

Other suggestions please. Thanks in advance.

Ports appear to be dead. No show in device manager. Suggestion from hardware forum that 5V fuse to both ports may be blown. She's trying to find someone w/a multimeter to check the fuse. Thanks
