Ok... entering the parental password on my PS2 is getting really old now. Is there a way to disable the parental controls on the PS2 so I don't have to keep entering the password on every single DVD I own!?

(PS: I am not sure which thread this belongs in... it seems off topic to me!)

Is it really that difficult to type in "0" four times before a movie?

Are you sure your mommy and daddy will allow this? :)

You guys need to grow up. My brother, who originally set up the playstation 2, set the password to 9999... so ya it is a pain in the a$$.

WTF would I have grow to up? You are here whining about your PS2 and typing in four repetitive numbers.

Why am I asked for a Password every time I try to play a DVD movie?
Most DVD films released in Europe do not have parental control software programming within the disk. However, if the 'enter password' screen does appear, you will need to disable this function to progress. Enter 7444 in the password section.

If your PlayStation 2 then displays 'invalid password', re-enter the password screen and press the select button followed by 7444. This will delete any password in your PlayStation 2's memory. Your PlayStation 2 will then ask you to enter a new password. Enter a new password. You will then be asked to 'confirm new password'. After confirming this new password you will then be allowed to enter the parental control menu. Set the region to England, and the parental lock level to off. Ejecting and closing the disk tray will then save the DVD menu options.

I googled it, DO NOT BITCH if it does not work.

I was just asking if anyone knew if there was a way around it... simple question. Its really annoying because on some DVDs I have to enter it like 4 times before I get to the movie. Easier way would to be turn it off.

I ask a simple question, asking for a serious reply, and all I get are remarks. I don't want to hear about how you think it is easier to type in all zeroes... that wasn't my question.

Thank you... I'll give it a shot. I searched on Google and came up with nothing.

WTF ??

What's up with all this flames?

Yes the god damn parental control is annoying as fark. I hate the PS2-DVD remote and its not that easy to find the numbers when you have lights off.

If nothing else put in the password in the main menu (with no DVD in the tray) and then change it to 0000. With it set to that all you have to do is hit the circle button 4 times to get around it.
