PS2 or wait for Xbox

Xbox.. unless you're waiting for Kickass Final Fantasy 10 for PS2

for me, I'm not even a console fan.. it's bad enough vidgames eat up my time and social opportunities.. let alone I'm gonna spend $$ for something that plays vidgames only?

ugh..

personally save that money and take a trip to FL with your friends or something.. make memories

I have a dc and i decided to wait for the xbox and the dc has been more then able to hold me over and IMO have better games then some ps2 ones. If you like XBOX games go with that if you like PS2 go with that. Its really what type of games you like
 
PS2. I bought a PS2 last year when it came out and in fact at the time a DC would have been better. The reason is because the PS2 had just been released and lets be honest here: Its release games were pretty ass. DC was more matured and at that time a superior system. I now am happy with my PS2 as some better games have come out and more will be coming soon, but for the same reason a DC was better then a PS2 is better now. Xbox is new, unproven, and has a very limited title library. Other than a couple of games that may be actually worth playing I'd hold off on the Xbox for a while. I plan on buying on probably next year but not before then. Whats the point?
 
Wait for X-Box, then buy a PS2! When X-Box and Cube are out, the PS2 price will drop.

As for the people that say, get a Dreamcast, just get the PS2. I had a Dreamcast and it was good, I was in the same frame of mind as you, that it was just as good as a PS2. Well I got a PS2 for my birthday and I can tell you the PS2 is EONS ahead of the Dreamcast.
 
sega made the same mistake as wtih DC as they did with saturn. they came out with it in between console gens. so now its forgotten...mostly
