PS2 mouse initialization failure!!!

Installing Chaintech CT-9EJL1(Intel 845E chipset.) I got MS Intellimouse optical installed on the USB port. Everyting went fine except at the start up screen, I get the message "PS2 mouse initialization failure, press any key to continue". How do I get rid of this? It works fine once I press a key, but it is very annoying if I have to do this every time!!!! Thank for your help

Update. The message disappears if I use PS2 mouse, wtf is going on?? Thought that if I use usb mouse, that ps2 mouse port should disable itself. Looked in the bios(award), can't find anything to disable the ps2 mouse port, arrggghhhh. Help please.

Try going into Device Manger and removing the Mouse when you have the connected on the PS/2. Shut down, move mouse to USB and bring it up to see what happens.

Well, tried it. No luck. Still get the damn message. I thought that when you have usb mouse plug in, it wouldn't look for the ps2 mouse anymore. Wonder if part of the board is bad?? Anyone else got any idea?? I'm waiting for Chaintech to answer this same question, but you know how those company tech supports are
