PS2 Memory Card Question

My roommate just bought a PS2 and there is some question as to how many memory cards we will need. I am mainly into Gran Turismo 3 and a few other games and he is into RPGs. Should we get two cards or will one be enough for a game of GT3 and his RPGs (I think he got 2 of them to start)?

they're all 8mb. they got twinpacks of these 8mb for rather cheap. but one single 8mb is plenty memory for GT3 and two RPGs
 
I've got 3 Sony 8mb Mem cards and am currently only using one. I've got about 40 saved games including 1 GT3 and the Sony Remote Control Drivers.
 
You'll probably only need one unless you plan on playing sports games. Seasons/dynasties eat up the memory quick.
 
Get two. You will surely appreciate each having your own card.

Also... IIRC, you can save replays in GT3. If you are into that, it will eat up space rather quickly.
