PS2 is pissing me off

I like some songs on Gran Turismo 4. I loaded it tonight and the jukebox wouldn't work (no sound but I still had menu music) so I took out the mem card. It wants a memory card so I shut off my PS2 put in my card and now it says I have no GT4 data WTF?

I checked the card and the GT4 data is there why wont it read it?
In 2 years of owning a PS2 this is the only problem I've ever had and I'm ready to say its a POS.

EDIT: I've tried Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance / FFX/ FFX-2/ Vice City and they all see lots of room. GT4 keeps saying I need 1.4 meg free! I have 3 meg free on my card! I'm really pissed now.
 
ive know PS2's are POS's for a while i thought it was funny last year when my store sold round 30 of em cuz ppls old ones were braking down we olny sold like 5 new ones and 25 replacements lol
 
Its not that the machine is a POS (well the non slim ones were) its that GT4 wont work.

EDIT: I pulled a NES on my memory card. Took it out and blew on it and it works now. Gotta love technology.

EDIT 2: I don't want responses I just had to vent before I threw it out the window.
