are there emulators for xbox and ps2?

Nope...they're BSing you (us).

Maybe they're just playing it on their computer monitor with a TV card or something.

I know you can do NES, SNES, Genesis and all the other old systems with ROMs. Newer ones? Not sure. I've heard you can do PS1 and N64. Beyond that I dont *think* so.

That's not garunteed. No one knows what, if any extra commands/calls were put in to the hardware and OS.

Probably by hooking the PS2 unit to the video in connector of their video card... There are no such emulators to play PS2 (dvd type format) on a computer.

Or they may mean that they connect to the Monitor via a VGA connector..

The highest system you can play games on the PC is the DC. There is a BleemDC, but you have to have rips of the games, you can't play with their CD-GB (CD-Gigabyte) discs. Very choppy though.

I doubt there will ever be a PS2 or XBOX emulator, and can guarantee no GC emulator, as nobody is even hacking that!

You don't. They aren't powerful enough yet.
It takes a Duron 800 and GF2 or so to do playstation games.

(side note: Einhander at 1024x678 rocks more than it ever could on a TV, and square needs to make more shooters)

Well why don't you create one then?

I already did. Twice. But then, I forgotted what I were doing, and deleted the source code. Twice.

:D

There is no BleemDC or whatever you are talking about. The "Highest" system emulated is the PSX/N64. For the Psx you need the actual CDS though.

There IS a emulator for the Dreamcast named "Icarius" but its been in the works since 2000 and there hasn't been a public release though it does exist :)

As for A duron 800 with a Geforce2 it really depends..some games you need a stronger pc or so I've noticed.

And there definitely won't be real ps2 emulation for a long time. There is one that just got bios implementation done but I figure the ps2 is some crazy mammoth machine with all those processors that it'll be a while before anything of the sort would happen

ISOs seem to work fine, except for some game music...

There appears to be one called Nightmare...not sure about this thing, though.

Oddly enough for the RPGs, which you'd think would be the easiest.

Possibly, but we may be suprised.
