$3000 is more like 10000% markup, since the retail price is closer to $300. $3000 would be 300% markup if the retail price were %1000. That is far too much money to spend on a game console. Think of what kind of comp that would buy you... Athlon 1.2GHz, 512MB RAM, GF2-Ultra/ V5-6000,... Good stuff.
