Hey all, I'm moving most of my external peripherals over to USB in expectations for future motherboards that won't have legacy connector (such as the new Abit board that's been announced that has firewire, lots of USB, but no serial, parallel, or PS/2) and I've found converters for my serial palm cradle, parallel printer, and my mouse is already USB, however, my IBM Model M keyboard is PS/2 only. (I also have trackball I'd like to use, butr it's also PS/2 only)

I was wondering if anyone out there had any links to PS/2 to USB converters so I can continue to use my keyboard in the future.

I've been directed to this product, and it looks EXACTLY like what I want.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work with Windows 2000 or Windows XP, so it's useless to me (and while the company says that drivers will be out soon, it doesn't leave me feeling good that as soon as a new OS comes out, I won't have drivers.. I mean, 2000 has been out for quite a while now)

Are there any other options for me?

That's the kind of stuff I'm looking for! Thanks a lot! :D

Also, after some searching, I ran across THIS big puppy that looks like it could handle all my worries at once.

Does anyone have any experience with a product like this? It doesn't appear to exist on BUSlink's site at all.. One can only wish.

Thanks very much. :)

try this. got a few hooked up to a Hub at work, on a crappy HP system that has no PS/2 at all. also works fine as a standalone keyboard/mouse adapter, just gotta enable USB Legacy Support, or USB Mouse/Keyboard support in your BIOS.
Works with Macs too! Got a cheapie Acer $3 keyboard hooked up to a G3 with one of these, because Apple's replacement keybd goes for $40. Make sure if you use it in a Hub it's self powered!
Other uses- Plugged into a Hub as remote Keyboard so I can surf the Web, or Game on the TV in the next room. works alongside the PS/2 just fine! ;)
This is the Cheapest solution IMHO. It's called the 'Cue Cat USB Adapter' the online catalog has it listed for $9.99, but I got all that was left in the store locally for $6.00 each. I believe I posted this in Hot Deals a while back, along with the $.89 Subwoofers I bought! :D
