PS2 DVD Drive Rant

I got a couple very slight scratches on my new GTA disc, and boom it gets disc read errors all the time, my computers dvd drive can read stuff that's scratched to hell at much faster speeds, what is so difficult about have a decent drive?

It's more likely because your PS2 is a piece, not the disc.

yeah, some of the early ps2's had problems with scratching discs if the unit was vertical. I have one such unit.

my friends ps2 scratched his SW: Trilogy dvds the other day. He was f-ing pissed. lmao.

yeah, some of the early ps2's had problems with scratching discs if the unit was vertical. I have one such unit.

mine is an earlier unit, i know the unit scratched it from looking at the scratches but they are very minor, i just wish it wasnt so sensative to the scratrches.
