Grabed it at Costco for an incredible $17.99, which I think was maybe a mistake by the label guy or what not but it's great. The soundtrack is awesome, I had the limited edition music sampler from Fry's and listened to it a great deal before buying it. The controls are easy to learn and work well. Graphics are great as usual from Konomi, although it's a little too dark for my tastes. This is definitely a game worth buying.

Whoa, did he play it all day or something? I only play my PS2 games maybe 3-4 hours a day if I'm lucky. I just finished MGS:2 last week when I started lasted December. And it was one of the best price mistakes ever! I kinda wondered why it rang up as a "PS2 Hits"
 
Well, it plays very similar to DMC but its smoother. Runs at 60 FPS all the time. DMC didn't have a steady framerate, and it's... different.

I played it for a couple minutes in Gamestop today...it was fun - Does he get anything other than the whip? 😕
 
Nope, just the whip, but it can upgraded and enchanted. So far I know it can change to Fire, Ice Lighting and some "Light" whip which deals more damage to fiends of the night. And the soundtrack NEVER gets boring.

I think he had like 7 or 8 hours played on his save game.
