Ummm, I guess you didn't read the PS2 post from the moderators.

Only post links to PS2 deals that are better than the $299 retail price.
 
I have to defend DDCspeed here. His post was for a bundle, not the bare console. Amazon sells the same bundle for $499.99, but they don't have them in stock. This makes it a good deal.
 
Regarding the link, I have noticed the Electronics Boutique site has been really slow over the last few days. It is possible the link is just timing out.
 
I would say that this is a good deal, provided you planned on buying the other items in the package. If you are a serious player you probably would have purchased these items anyway. Bottom line, no way to get around ol' Mr. Retail!

My local Kmart had a ps2 mismarked for $229.95. I thougt about buying it but I didn't. It is probably gone by now.
 
I read the mod's post and I dont think i posted a bad post. It is just rare that you can purchase the console all by itself. It possible but hard. The bundle always will be a ok deal just that you are forced to buy some games that you might not like. EBWorld is a well known internet company and they are not *jacking up* the price.
 
This is ludicrous..., they know that you'll have to pay whatever they charge (if you want a PS2) so they add one a whole buttload of junk to it.... there should be some kind of illegal bundling law or something (M$ comes to mind there)...
