PS screwing up airflow?

I have a case where the power supply is right beside the CPU, with its fan pulling air out parallel to (and not but like 1/2" away from) my Chrome Orb. In my day of not having it in the case, my temps showed as 42º idle to 46ºC peak or so. Now IDLING, it reads 49ºC! Should I move out that power supply and make a little stand for it or something?
TIA

Hmmmmm, what about reversing the fan on the cpu?? I used to run an alpha with the fans drawing the heat off the cpu, it worked for that, and if you tried it, you would have that extra bit of help from the power supply, it might work out nicely for you.

I can't reverse it...just kinda stares at me.
But no worries now, I am about to fix the problem by making a case from erector stuff 🙂
