First time post..I saw this at Circuit City while I was getting that Centron RAM deal. (thanks allisolm!)

These are the Sony brand PS One LCD mobile monitors that attach to your PS One. Sticker price was $129.99, but the tag underneath shows they are on clearance. I saw 3 of these on the shelf at my local Lexington, KY store..so it may be of the Walmart-B&M-clearance-YMMV-variety.

I looked online, but no dice. In fact, I can't even find these things anywhere reputable.

I saw some at my local Circuit City, I was thinking of price matching it to best buy next door. The cheaper the better :)

Hrmmm...I need to get to my local CC.
I bought the Sony knock off LCD (5") at EB a while
back - $35 on clearance. I've since hooked it up
to a $45 Apex DVD player in my car and have watched
a couple DVDs while on a long road trip - it rocked. This
makes a great in car LCD and if I can get another cheap
one, I'll take one apart and see about a custom mount.

Thanks for the heads up...

How do you fit that 24" flat screen in your car? The cool thing about the ps one and the 6" lcd is that for under $150 you can have some entertainment in the car.

Wouldn't it work with other consoles, like PS2? I mean, it just has RCA inputs, right?

I saw that my favorite surplus electronics store has the 5" interact version for $80. Here

The official sony screen does not have rca inputs but you can get an adaptor cable for a few bucks that will let you plug in any rca device to it.

According to the Best Buy site:
"Plug your camcorder into the AV IN JACK and enjoy your videos..." - maybe that uses
a special cable. I did manage to find a couple of these in local stores and I'm going to
pick one up this evening. I'll report back later...

I believe a cable that works with the LCD is the Sony camcorder cable VMC20FR. They are about $15 at Circuit City or $10 on eBay. This cable gives you audio L and R along with video. If you just want one audio channel and video, a cheap Y-Adapter cable with 1/8" connector should work (RS 42-2483).

You don't have to be a little kid to have a TV in your car. My friend used to have the ps1 + lcd combo and we used to play it in his car whenever we got bored.

hehe. That makes me think of The Fast and the Furious, and that Asian guy playing Gran Turismo 2 while waiting for the street race to start..Anyone else think he just slams up into the wall on purpose?!?

I'd jump on this deal if I had expendable income, but I really don't play PS1 games much (or any mobile games for that matter) anymore.

Or for those times you have to wait for whatever reason.
