I know, there are many, hopefully this adds a bit of a twist...

The fact i will get an 8800gt pretty much means new PS. I'm fine with this. Here will be current specs:

opteron 185
nforce ultra foxconn board
3gb DDR
8800gt
two SATA II hd's
DVD-RW, DVD-ROM
External HDD (FreeAgent)

The Future holds this: (Future being a year or so from now)
Penryn quad core TBA and applicable board
4GB DDR3
8800gt
Same drives

With that said, the PS's i'm currently looking at all rate well on Newegg, so I thought i'd get the real experts opinion on which, if any would be best.

The contenders:

PC Power & Cooling Silencer 610 EPS12V EPS12V 610W Continuous @ 40°C Power Supply - Retail

CORSAIR CMPSU-520HX ATX12V v2.2 and EPS12V 2.91 520W Power Supply - Retail

Antec NeoPower NeoHE 550 ATX12V 550W Power Supply - Retail

OCZ GameXStream OCZ700GXSSLI ATX12V 700W Power Supply - Retail

OCZ GameXStream OCZ600GXSSLI ATX12V 600W Power Supply - Retail (if it's just lower than the 700w one, for $15 more, we can disregard this one)

As you can tell, i'm looking to keep it in the 120 range, give or take a little.

Any and all input will be appreciated.

Thanks!
Mike

520hx, plenty of power, modular, good qaulity. Don't buy PSU's at newegg.com though, they can often be had for a lot less at clubit.com for example.

Hell...why don`t you get the new PokeMon 225 watt PSU!!
All Hitachi Caps! 30 amps on the single 12v rail!!
That should be plenty of power.........

Thanks to all who've replied thus far. I'm trying to check out the 620 on clubit, but for whatever reason - it's dog slow at the moment. The links John gave are great! I greatly appreciate the feedback.

Thanks!
