Hey folks, I want to replace the 250W PS in the wife's old emachines tower, looking for something quieter & more wattage. BUT - looks like a tight fit - are all ATX PSs the same formfactor (size) or are the higher W supplies physically larger?
Your summary says TAX, don't you mean ATX. 😀 http://www.power-on.com/ lists emachine, look up the exact model and see what they say about size and pinouts. Then link it here.
So it's standard ATX size of 150X140X86mm and it uses standard ATX pin outs.
Look and see if a PSU that uses a 120 fan will be OK. Then buy a Enhance ENP-5140GH
from eWiz.com for < $60. The ATX plug is 20 or 24.
If you must use a unit with a 80mm fan, eWiz did have a 360W Enhance unit for < $40.
