Has anyone used PS2Rate on MS Optical Mice (when using the usb -> ps2 converter). Are the results good?

Also the PS2/Rate program requires that I select the "Don't Detect" Option in order to work on Kt133 motherboards. It also warns me that "your mouse could be permanently damaged when you use this option." What are your results with ps2rate and kt133 motherboards?

I have an Abit KT7 and a MS Optical Wheelmouse, and I'd like to know if I can safely use PS2Rate to set the sampling rate to 200. If it works at 200, I prefer PS2 because USB is only 120.

Thanks for you help!

Isn't 120hz fine anyway? Or is your monitors refresh rate actually above 120hz?

ps2rate with my optical mouse made is jumpy and not very accurate...USB is a lot smoother.

So when you set your ps2rate to 200, it feels less smooth than usb at 120?

Btw, I've used ps2rate with a Logitech MouseMan+ and BX motherboard, and I swear I could feel the difference between 100 and 200 sample rates.
