I was helping a friend set up his new HP 810 based PC. He also bought a Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer, but we left the HP(Logitech) PS/2 connected. Everything worked fine until I unplugged the power(to connect a surge suppresor), then the machine would not post, after an hour or so of basic troubleshooting, I determined that if both mice were connected it would hang about 70% of the time, disconnect one, and it would boot everytime. I have had 2 mice connected to all of my machines at one time or another with no problem, but all of my comps are 440bx based machines. Has anyone ever seen this before?, is it a 810 issue, or something else?
The only reason this is an issue is that his wife likes the basic PS/2 mouse better than the Explorer.
