why would someone need that many? to resell at a much too high of a price?
perhaps he should sell a couple way over the price (at fleabay), but what about the people that WANT them for thier own use?

personally (no offense to your friend) I hope people come to thier senses and decide that they can wait until sony puts more on the shelves....then all the people that bought 10 of these things cannot get rid of them...I am CERTIANLY an advocate of capitalism, but ya know...oh well...Id trade him something (like worth $300) so I could give one to my GF's kid but I am sure that is not near the $600 or so he is expecting!

1200 bucks? Get a clue. Head over to E-bay and do a search. I only see one PS2 over the 600 dollar mark. Many are not even breaking 500.

He's a good friend of mine, and I hope you would take that statement back.
He just graduated from college, and still haven't found a job. He's just trying to start a little business. And I think it's fair. He's not greedy, he's just trying to make some money. People do that all the time.

anyway, let's not get into a debate of what's greedy and what's not. I don't think he's greedy, I hope you would take your statement back, but if you won't, be it.

I agree with genocide BUT. Something like that does piss me off because some poor kid is thinking that Santa is bringing him one for Christmas when all acutality their parents are frantically looking to buy one for their kid. I does really make me sick that someone could actually get that many when almost ALL places limited their orders to (1). He obviously knew someone in this situation that is if they are legit units (not just boxes).

I understand people like to buy and resell for money but I think maybe when things like that are so limited people would at least give others a fair chance when most are lucky to even get one. He may be your friend but if he were mine he'd hear it from me. I guarantee it.
