Proxy servers

Most RoadRunner providers have a proxy server. AOL dial up is sort of a proxy server as well. I don't use any since they then to reduce my download or direct connect speed.

What is your internet connection? DSL, CABLE or dial up?

My current connection is DSL through SBC yahoo.

I have a router doing NAT with IDENT forwarded to a non existent address and drop echo on wan side, plus zone alarm so im as secure as I can afford to be ($) at this point, but I was wondering if a proxy would be helpful in adding that extra layer of anonymity. I know you can't be perfectly anonymous, but some is better than none.
