proximity usb lock for workstation?

Rather than ctrl-alt-del, I'd like to just be within a few feet of the computer and have it unlock.. I know there are products out there that do this, but does anyone have some experience with how well the things work?
 
There are a few people that are required to use them where I work during the school year, they seem to work fine, but they are a pain when we have to fix their computer.
