You might want to edit that title.. kind of gives the impression that it is only $101.4 shipped when it is really $151.40 shipped and $50 rebate

Thanks, I was looking for a cheap 2nd monitor, and 15" generic monitors start at about $120 shipped on Pricewatch.

This monitor does 1024X768 @ 85 Hz --not bad for a cheap monitor. It also has pincushion, trapezoid, & rotation controls.

But is anyone sure that the rebate is good at buy.com? The coupon is for an EMC monitor--which I gather is a relabeled Proview. Buy.com usually lists applicable rebates--in fact, I've been at several sites that usually list rebates, and none of them have them on the Proview monitors.

I have owned a 17" EMC Proview for a year now. I have been impressed with the quality. I'm not sure as to why it is labeled EMC and Proview, I always thought that EMC was the parent corp. and Proview is a branch of EMC. Could be wrong, but that's what I assumed. BTW, my computer is also an EMC and labeled as Proview.

note: My monitor would not show a picture after 2 months. Proview stated they would fix it, but I had to pay shipping ($60). I wrote a letter to the President and was pleased that they agreed to have UPS pick it up at their cost. Ever since the monitor was repaired ... I have had NO problems!

I had an EMC 15" that went dead after about 13 months of ownership. I got it at best buy (For $79), and took it back. They were almost done doing the exchange for a new one, then the clerk asked me for my Service Plan recipt. I said I didn't have no stinking service plan, pointing to the 3 year warranty card in the packaging from the new one. She said I'd have to contact EMC's authorized dealer about that. So I replied, "You're not an authorized dealer? You've only got about 500 monitors on your floor..". Anyways, I rose holy hell and got them to give me a new one.

I wouldn't buy EMC/Proview again. Its a decent enough monitor, but going dead after a year, kind of ticks me off. They don't even have a web site. My Next monitor is going to be the Optiquest Q95. $300 for a flat 19" isn't bad at all...
