Hi,
I own a computer which I resently upgrade the Video Card in from Diamond StelthIII
540 to MSI Geforce2 MX and then it started to work strangly. It hadn´t done this
with the Stelth Card. Now everytime I try to go into a game the monitor shut downs
to standby and I dont know why. The only thing I can do then is to restart. Because
I had been upgrading the video card I thought there was something wrong with my new
MSI Geforce2 MX Card and took it to the place where I bought it. They found nothing
wrong with it. Then I decided to try other monitors with the computer. I tried two
other monitors with this computer (Hitachi CM641ET and Samsung SyncMaster15Gli) and
they both work fine and I can enter the games and play them. Then I thought there
was some wrong with the Proview FX786 monitor and took it to my dealer for a repair
and he found nothing wrong with it.
Now I don´t know what to do. The Monitor is OK, and the Video Card is OK but they
ain´t working together. Has anyone heard of this problem? Does anyone know a
possible solution?
Just so if it helps anyone to find out the problem I write here the specs of it.
Proview FX786 monitor
MSI Geforce2 MX Video Card
ASUS K7V Motherboard with Onboard Audio
600mhz AMD Athlon Slot A
128mb memory
Cnet P200 Network Adapter
Diamond Supra 56i Modem
Windows 98SE
Detonator 12.41 Drivers
DirectX 8
Hope you can help
