Hi Guys,
Basically I'm interested to know, how error 678 occurs, and if it can be instigated by the provider.
I deal with a small Cable provider, and usually dont have any problems, however, every once in a while I get a error 678 when dialing into my broadband account.
Usually I give him a call and he gets it working, usually he claims it's some kind of problem there.
From what I've found online, it seems that errors 678 start at the local computer, modem errors and whatnot.
By I have a feeling that my provider somehow give me a 678 every once in a while so he can get his regular tips. How realistic is that scenario?
Is Error 678 an error that can be coming from the server side?
Thanks.
PS: using WinXp Sp2, with ASUS mobo and on board network card
