I don't see any issue with the first two items on that list, and from the BART thread apparently that third item is common too (though I had admittedly never known about it before). Illegal immigration is a different issue. Depending on the steps in the appeal process I don't see that as necessarily a problem either; cops should keep an eye on people they believe to be gang members, but if a person is being profiled just because they happen to be a minor associate of a gang member, I can see why they would want to appeal that. I'm not a fan of criminal records being expunged in general, but if they do it for other kinds of crimes, I don't see why not for gang members.

I read all 6 points and didn't see a single one that favors gang members. And the first 2 points I'm very much in favor of nationwide.

It's a real issue where someone has a high school friend or a relative who's a gang member and they get profiled by the police as a gang member as well, even with no criminal record or evidence of gang affiliation. So IMO putting some kind of evidentiary burden on the police before they profile someone is not a bad thing.

Plus until recently like a few years ago recently. Prostitution was legal as long as it was indoors there.

I for one am shocked that lawofficer.com didn't give a truthful evaluation of the circumstances.

I agree with fskimospy. This seems to be a law officer targeted site, so of course the article will be written to slant the truth in their eyes. Lets get a less biased interpretation of this new law.

Look for the comment from Ellis Drewery. That is the reason why city councils have to pass laws like this. OP you aren't Ellis are you?

Well, you know....reducing profile based on the following only applies to gang members:

The City Council voted 12-0 Thursday to grant first approval to the ordinance, which prohibits police from relying on everything from race, ethnicity and language to housing status or political affiliation as a reason to suspect that an individual has committed or is about to commit a crime.

Say what you want about Providence being run by the mob, but the late Buddy Cianci turned Providence into a modern, desirable to live in city from what was just another washed up New England mill town. And he sold a lot of newspapers with his antics while doing so.

Edit the thread title to remove the offensive preposition. since it means, in this context, intent or purpose. Visitors to the site would immediately find the claim to be absurd and outrageously stupid, which looks bad on us all. Do the right thing.

Lol. You think the OP will be showing his face again after being owned?

Bitches need safe spaces and he's one of the biggest;)
