Just ran across this interesting article and found out there's a total of 6 math problems that are worth 1 million dollars if you can prove. I think it's called the Millennium Prize Problems.

Here's his wiki page, Grigori Perelman. I read in another article that he just felt the prize was cheap compared to what he gained in knowledge.
