Protocols for SmartMeter communication?

Are there any standards / protocols for firmware communication with SmartMeter as used and currently propagated? Would be interested how to access at least in a reading mode ...

The standard 'protocol' is for the power company to access and communicate with the meter. 😉

If you need to do this for some reason as a regular consumer, I'd strongly recommend that you ask the power company for permission (and the proper procedure) since you're likely to incur some hefty fines if you are caught tampering with their equipment.
 
Thanks - I see. - Well, on the other hand side: These devices are in private homes, in my home. So, I do not have any transparency on what information is logged, stored and finally transmitted to Fennovoima.This is information about me, my habits and when to turn lights on and off, etc. To some extent I feel myself monitored without having any chance for getting information on what is monitored.

So again, highly appreciated if someone could give me a hint or point me to any forum to get further information to get read data sets from these meters.
