A flash mob (or flashmob) is a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, perform an unusual and pointless act for a brief time, then quickly disperse. This is the second "flash mob" that's occurred in a short period of time here in Philly. Basically, a bunch of kids decide to get together and "flash mob", which turns into property damage and physical violence. I suppose that according to Wikipedia this was technically a "flash mob", but every flash mob I've ever seen is nonviolent, non-offensive, doesn't cause damage, and is generally pretty entertaining.
Sometimes I really hate this city.
