Aren't those protein powders bad for you?

Are those the same as the "bulk up" powders?

Bulk up powders are weight gainers - they're high in calories, about the same amount of protein, and usually medium in carbohydrates. Each shake can have anywhere from 500-2000 calories, depending on brand. You take it if you want to put on weight.

Protein shakes are usually about 100 calories per scoop, about 25gm protein per serving, and low in carbohydrates. You'd take protein shakes to help ingest enough protein.

Oh, and from another thread, GNC is not a good place to get supplements. I can't believe a ferengi would tell someone to buy their stuff at Overpriced Nutrition Center 😛

1 cup of milk, 1 scoop of protein, 1/2 cup of water (optional). Put it in a cheap POS plastic shaker. Shake the crap out of it for 10-15 seconds. Guzzle it down. Rinse the shaker with HOT water. Do 3 times daily.

This my friends is called MAD SKILLS. 🙂

I've used the Pro Rated with water when I was out of milk, and it wasn't bad. I just like it better in milk.

supposedly it's supposed to be better to take it with water because you absorb it faster
