Beware, the mixibility of EAS is crap, and the last time I bought a tub of EAS from vitaglo, it only contained 53 scoops when it should've had 80 (yes I kept track).

One more thing, how many scoops (scoop being 27g) should I put in if I am doing some basic weight lifting?

I rate protein powders on taste, mixibility, and nutrition. If the mixibility is poor, it will leave clumps along the side of the glass after you mix it. A powder with really good mixibility can be stirred in with a spoon without leaving a clump. When I say nutrition, I mean how much excess carbs and fat does it have? Most are pretty low though.

It depends - what are your goals, and what is your current height and weight? If you want to gain weight, you need to consistently eat more than your maintenance level of calories. A lot of people recommend 1-1.5g protein/lb. bodyweight.

get ON Whey

Don't get soy anything, but casein can complement whey. But it's usually just as cheap to buy low fat cottage cheese to get casein as it is powder.

Its ok. I've always felt that its not that it doesn't mix too well. I recently got ON and it mixes 2x better and tastes much better too.

If you want an even better deal and don't mind buying 25 lbs. of one flavor at a time, go here:

All the Whey

Be warned though, neither the taste nor the mixibility are as good as ON.

Actually the premium choclate flavoring is amazing! (all the whey flavoring).

Also you have to keep in mind the difference between WPI WPC and Casein protein. I am assuiming that they OP wants regular whey, so ON would be the best as it has the most WPI (whey protein isolate) per scoop for the money, but if $$ is not an issue than Synthrax (while a shady company) Nectar is by far the best.

All the cheap proteins out there do work, but they contain high WPC (WP concentrate) counts which can cause bloating, diahrea, and gas, especially with lactose intolerant people, and it isn't abosrbed as well as WPI.

Casein protein gels in your stomach (found in either eggs or things like cottage cheese or milk (beta or alpha casein), and Muscle Milk is almost all casein protein which should not be used post workout as your body needs a nice quick supply, in which a hydrolized WPI (ON Whey etc) to fit into the anabolic window. Casein is better for before bed so your body gets a steady supply of protein while you are asleep and cannot eat and thus keeps you out of a catabolic state.

Also protein bars are crap for the most part and powder is much better for a supplement source, keyword supplement, as your diet still needs to contain lots of protein.

So basically another vote for ON Whey, choclate, strawberry, and rocky road are great, avoid vanillia and java like the plague. For Synthrax Nectar, fuzzy navel is the best protein powder I have ever had (excluding things like MM and Sytha-6).

DPSnutrition has extremely fast shipping, great prices, and great customer service, I always order from them whenever they have my whole order in stock. Discount anabolics is good also.

Someone with "Jacker" in his username should NOT be asking about anything relating to protein.

Where do you live? It is usally best to order from somewhere where their warehouse is closest to you. DPS is near me so I get it in like a day even if I don't buy any special shipping.

I ordered from DPS on Monday of last week and got it today. I ordered 10 lbs of ON 100% (Choc), 2 bottles of 100x 200mg caffeine pills (taking it for cutting), and Accu-Measure calipers (I'm at ~16%bf and I weigh 195 lb, 16 years old). Very nice prices, and I didn't need anything ASAP, so I was satisfied. It's weird, they sent it from their PA wearhouse, which is pretty damn far from Kaliforneyeah.

Isnt this just a waste of money? It doesnt do anything but drain your wallet. You may as well bathe in bottled water.
