Protective coating on a motherboard?

I was taking off the bracket for the A64 on my new motherboard last night and scratched it with my pliers. It wasnt hard or anything but i do see a scratch mark on the board. I wont be able to test it till tomorrow but im just wondering what are my chances that its dead.

If you just scratched the colored coating off, no problem. If you cut through a metal trace, big problem.

Clean it with alcohol and look at it with a magnifier. Better yet, after cleaning it, if you have a can of dust off, turn the can upside down and spray some of the cold propellant on the spot. This is an old technician's trick - the frost that forms will clearly reveal a break in any of the traces.

If it looks okay and the board tests okay, don't sweat it.
