Working on someone's computer. First thing I noticed, was that it wanted to auto-update quite a bit of items, and their IE had a half a dozen toolbars it looked like, and the homepage was some sort of "conducent search". That's spyware, isn't it?
And then "PriceGong" or something popped up some sort of ad in the lower-right corner, and eventually it went away, but this "Protection Suite Security Update" popped up in the lower-right corner, prompting to "install now" or "remind me later". Sounds fishy to me.
There's an icon for "Norton Security Suite" on the desktop.
Person complained that the computer was "Shutting off" on them. So I'm going to do some hardware stress-tests first. But it seems like it might need a reformat. (I worked on this same computer about a year ago, installed Windows 7 as an upgrade to Vista.)

Edit: Computer also has Comcast "Constant Guard" security suite installed, which installs Norton Security Suite too.
Norton popped up wanting to reboot, while I was doing Windows Update.
Also, Norton idle time scan popped up, found nothing suspicious. Hmm.
