What is the best product out that now that can protect your case and screen from scratches?

I've used the official nintendo screen protectors and the generic ones. The Nintendo ones fit better (no bubbles) but the generic were easier to reposition and 2 or 3 bucks cheaper. I haven't seen a difference between the two protection wise. As for a case lots of people like the nerf one. I have one the Nintendo one just for transporting my DS and game around.

This is true unless you are playing Elite Beat Agents and a few others.

You're a liar. Either you don't play your DSL much, or you don't play any games that uses the stylist at all. Play a couple days of Zelda Phantom Hourglass and your lower DS screen will get scratched to hell.

I completed Zelda PH on mine and I have no scratches on my screen either. I think some people do press harder than others.

As for protection for the shell, I use this. It works great and after it is applied doesn't track fingerprints or smudges very easily. I love it.

I've had my Lite for almost two years and one of my favorite games that I've spent hours on is Tiger Woods. You use the stylus to shoot the shots. And I've recently been playing alot of Ninja Gaiden that is very stylus dependent. My screen is flawless....no protector. As long as you're not pounding it like a two year old I don't see the need for it.

I've had two DSLs since launch and both screens are fine. You have to be a ham-fisted user to eff it up.

You must be pretty rough. I am gentle and careful and haven't had any problems with scratches like the other people commented. Kids are really rough and careless so I'd definitely put protectors on for them. Cases too. My daughters DS exterior has a lot of surficial scratches but the screen isn't bad. She just turned 13.

It's the stylus that you use. Third-party ones are much nastier on the screen than Nintendo's own.

I dont use protetors, but when GH-DS comes out I may rethink it.

I used to say the same thing, but after a year and a half my screen is pretty scratched up.

Yup, I treat my DSL rough. Lots of scratches on the touch screen. I use the hori screen protector from playasia and skin from decalgirl.
