We are completely redoing our kitchen and are looking at new appliances. Anyone have the prosumer type of appliances care to offer there opinions whether or not they are any better or have any problems over long term use?

My ex-boss raved about his viking range ( i think that was the company) and his fridge that cost more than my car. I'm sure it's great for some people but I personally can't justify spending $15,000 to keep $6 worth of beer and chinese food fresh.
