Negotiate upfront and make an appointment to come back. Carry only the cash on you for the transaction. If you are using your hotel room, lock up all valuables. Most are "reputable" but not all. Avoid any recommendations to go to a "club" or "bar", where you can get hit with other costs.

My friend asked one of the prostitutes while we were there and she quoted him, 50 Euros for 20-30 minutes.

The travel guide says you have to make sure you and the prostitute are crystal clear on what sex acts are going to be performed beforehand so that there is no confusion in the end. The prostitutes will not touch you without a condom on and the prostitutes are tested for STD's on a voluntary basis.

Oh and no photography at the Red Light District. Take a photo and you'll be "kindly" greeted by a pimp or the prostitute herself.

Dude, when me and the wife was in Amsterdam, we saw a soccer hooligan get pulled out of one of the brothels on the strip (red light district).. I always wondered EXACTLY what does it take to get arrested in Amsterdam, much less in the Redlight district@! :Q

Yea, taking a photo is a great way to get a beating.

Some are unbelievably hot and others are just disgusting.

Dont laugh at the prostitutes either.

Another suggestion is to go to the RLD at night. The early hours is when the discount merchandise pops up on the shelves. We're talking old, fat, and just flat out NASTY.

Around 8-9pm there were quite a few that were HOTT. But I dont think I could EVER bring myself to fvcking a whore

Most prostitutes do not allow kissing without paying extra. You need to pay maybe 20-50€ more to be able to kiss with a prostitute in Amsterdam and even then you may not be able to kiss if you do not take care of your hygiene. So brush your teeth and use mouthwash!

How much?

50€ for most prostitutes, some African and South American prostitutes only charge 30€. These prices are for 15-20 minute and include oral and sexual intercourse.

You do not need escort agencies in Amsterdam. Girls are right there at the Red Light District.
