it is amazing how much stuff an average police department can lose. They have tens if not hundreds of thousands of pieces of evidence, and stuff gets mis-tagged, destroyed, sold accidentally, and outright stolen from lock-up.

Now, wait, I'm confused. They indicted him for the JonBenet murder, right? So, why'd they seize his computer in the first place? Doesn't really seem relevant to the case. Unless the child-porn charges came first and the Ramsey charges came after.

He was charged with the child porn case in california years ago, then jumped bail and ran oversees.
