pros/cons of running in asynchronous mode?

I have a Q6600 @ 3ghz atm and running a 5:6 ratio (around 840mhz?). What's the pros and cons of running at this ratio in terms of performance, power usage, and durability for the ram, mobo, and CPU? Since it's not 1:1, how will it affects my CPU?

Thanks!

If your DRAM:FSB is 6:5 (you didn't specify but I assume you're talking about 6:5 DRAM:FSB) all that means is that your RAM has some "free time" on its hands... if it's 1:1 then the RAM does not have any clock cycles of free time.

Generally 1:1 ratio is a good spot to be in, but it really won't affect much.

If you are at 6:5 DRAM:FSB right now, then you can achieve 1:1 by overclocking the CPU a little more.

What got into your head that you thought it could HARM something??
