Pros/Cons of a home stereo system cd recorder deck?

I just got one of these JVC XL-R5010bk from Ubid for $174.00/$201.00 shipped, seemed like a good deal and all my other home theater components are JVC (TV,Receiver,DVD,VCR) so I can use their "compulink" system with it.

Wondering if anyone here has this model or another brand, if you like it, how the recording quality is, if you prefer your computers burner, etc....
