Pros and Cons - Higher CPU Clock or Quicker Ram Timings

I can run my PC stable 2 ways:

@ 930 and a Cl of 3

or

@840 and a Cl of 2

What do you guys think?

IMHO, I think the clockspeed will give you better performance over the CAS time. The ram times dont give that much of a performance boost as clockspeed does.


Plus it just sounds faster.

CPU speed will help in games + doing number crunching type tasks

CAS will help in games + general system preformance.

CAS2 is probably a better bet, that for you the CAS3 way could be better.

Actually, my Q3 is a whooping two fps faster with the 840 & cas2

HMM, hard choice as I like to game and of course like the snappiness of my system @cas2, but I do lots of AVI to MPG conversion, I assume the 930 would help there.
