So Trump has convinced a large portion of his followers that Biden's presidency is illegitimate, therefore everything Biden tries to do for the nation as a whole is illegal in their eyes, especially so Biden's efforts to heal and unite. They will never trust Biden no matter what he does, even to the point of rejecting any and all policies and programs that will directly benefit them short term and long.

In this light it seems a real waste of time and effort to try to convince these folks to give up living in that alt-reality Trump and the Repub leadership housed and comforted them in, where racists, Nazis and supremacists find acceptance and legitimacy, where right wing militias are heroes, where lies are soothing, where the truth is like a dagger being held at their throats.
