I, like many others, had a problem with my Shuttle AK31 that was purchased online from NEWEGG. I RMA the board and they sent a new one immediately without any hassle. Good prices and quality service. That's how it should be!!
I keep hearing about these "problems" with AK31's yet i've installed about 30 of them so far @ work purchased from newegg and mwave with only 1 DOA and I also have one from the batch at home, what's the deal with the "problems"?
There's been multiple posts about issues with the AK31 including DOA's, inability to use all four memory slots and not recognizing the true size of the processor to name a few. Very true that poor handling is ususally the cause of "problems." I actually got a DOA board. There have also been many many posts about retailers who aren't as customer friendly as NEWEGG. Congratulations on the lack of problems with your mobos.
I expect to have equal success with my replacement.
Newegg is the best I have experienced with RMA's friendly, online system, and a reasonable return window. I have only had to return one thing there which wasn't their fault but they were excellent.
