If you peruse Newegg's site, for CD/DVD spindle reviews, you'll find many accounts of broken spindles / shrink-wrap, discs bouncing around in the box, etc., from reviews a few years ago.

Well, my most recent shipment, I ordered five 50-pack shrink overwrap spindles, and they came INDIVIDUALLY BUBBLE-WRAPPED in the box. VERY NICE!

(This was by the NJ warehouse, btw. I get pretty good packing from them, generally.)
