I bought a Onkyo TX-SR503 receiver from Crutchfield in mid-December (Nice receiver by the way). This morning it decided to not power on. I unplugged it and let it sit while I was at work. Came home plugged it back in and it still wont turn on.
Called Crutchfield and spoke with a tech, we tried the "reset" trick which didn't work. He then said they are sending me a brand new unit which is shipping out today even though it's outside of the 30 day window.

Not sure why the receiver died, I guess it is electronic.

Thumbs up to Crutchfield for a very fast response, a very short wait time on the phone and taking care of my issue properly.

Well, you probably paid what you could have bought two of them for at another place, so they'd better replace it for you. :)

While many people complain about Crutchfield's prices, in my experience, their customer service has to be about the best in the country. If you have the money to spend a bit more at crutchfield, I think it pays off in the end.

Its kickass isn't it? I ordered some refurbished bookshelf speakers from them last fall, and after a couple of weeks I discovered that one of the tweeters stopped working. Called them up, they said "we will send you a replacement asap" and I just put the broken speaker back in the package, attached the pre-paid shipping label and dropped it off at a local UPS Store.

All was well, and it didn't cost me a dime.

Crutchfield is the place to buy your toys. I always have great experience dealing with these people.

Another happy Crutchfield customer here. I used to buy a lot of car audio from them (did our two cars and my 3 cousins'), and any time I had an issue, they resolved it that day, usually within minutes. I only had to return one thing (POS Sony Amplifier) and it went very smoothly. Most of the stuff I buy now is higher end that Crutchfield doesn't carry, but for friends who just want a basic-mid system, they're the first place I send them.
