Recently I noticed the banner images for Prop 201 in Arizona here on Anandtech and just wanted to voice my opinion.
I currently live in AZ and am a supporter of this proposition. This is about the only way the horse racing industry here in AZ is going to get a fair shake. I have been a part of that industry my entire life....my dad brought me up at the racetrack and for as long as I can remember he's owned a race horse and we've traveled the state racing.
The other propositions in the state (200 and 202) are horrendous props that do away with the Horse racing industry in the next 5 years. Tracks like Turf Paradise and Yavapi Downs although new will hardly be allowed to operate. Town that rely on the horse racing industry such as Safford, Sonoita, Kingman, Duncan, St. Johns, along with towns that make big gains from it such as Flagstaff, Yuma, Tucson, Phoenix and Prescott will be loosing a ton of money.
Allowing the horse racing industry to comingle with the Indian gaming people is what this state really needs. Horse Racing in AZ is part of a long standing tradition to my family and to many others. Without it this state will see many small towns die out and large towns loose a lot of money that this state desperately needs.

Vote YES on Prop 201 if your in AZ....vote NO on Props 200 and 202!!!! we need it this way....if more than one passes theres no telling what might happen....if none pass...its left up to legislature and here in AZ thats a VERY dangerous proposition...
