I'm about to put together an HTPC. Since I've traditionally used Intel parts for my builds, I'm not entirely comfortable that the mobo, CPU and RAM I've selected will play well together.

Does this build list look compatible?

GIGABYTE GA-880GMA-UD2H AM3 AMD 880G
Patriot 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600)
AMD Athlon II X2 250 Regor 3.0GHz Socket AM3 65W
SILVERSTONE SG06-B Black Aluminum/SECC Mini-ITX Desktop Computer Case SFX 300W

Umm... is that a mini-ITX motherboard? Because the case you listed is.

If its a standard size MB, then it will be too big :)

If I was going for an AMD HTPC, I'd consider getting an Athlon II X2 240e Processor as it runs quite a bit cooler than the 65w version. I'm sure you could overclock it like crazy if you wanted...
